At The Facial Bar, we’ve been redefining the facial spa experience in Kansas City since 2015. We specialize in providing time-efficient services and thoughtfully priced skincare products, designed to fit seamlessly into your lifestyle. Our mission? To inform, educate, and inspire clients of all ages to see skincare in a new light—one that values both your time and investment.
OUR STORY
The journey really began back in 2009 when Cecilia, with a fresh aesthetics license in hand, boldly declared she would one day open her own business.
Fast forward through six years of gaining experience and learning the ropes, and we arrive at the heart of the story—The Facial Bar’s first location, founded in the historic Columbus Park neighborhood of Kansas City, Missouri. Known to many as ‘Little Italy’ or ‘The North End,’ this charming area became our first home.
What makes that space so special? It was completely transformed by Cecilia and her family—every bit of renovation was a labor of love. The blood, sweat, and tears poured into that flagship location shaped the foundation of our success. It reflects the personal, hands-on approach that Cecilia brings to her work and continues to inspire our entire team.
Today, that same dedication to craft and care is at the heart of every service we provide, creating a truly unique skincare experience for our Kansas City community.
Our atmosphere
The Facial Bar is designed with a clean, gender-neutral vibe that ensures everyone—women and men alike—feels welcome and relaxed the moment they walk through our doors. Our team is friendly, approachable, and passionate about educating clients on all things skincare.
Instead of the typical soft, instrumental spa music, we opt for a warm, lyrical boho soundtrack that creates a laid-back yet inviting atmosphere. The space itself features a slightly moody color palette, balanced by vibrant greenery that brings everything to life. Large windows flood the room with natural light, offering a warm welcome and a bright farewell to every guest—whether it’s your first visit or you’re a regular.

Supporting Local Business
The Facial Bar, being a small, local business itself, finds it very important to be part of lifting up the communities we serve. Not only are we very intentional in supporting and collaborating with other local, women-owned businesses, but tend to put our “money where our mouth is” in regards to what is important to our ownership and team.
Charitable Donations
You will find that we have committed over $4,000 (and counting!) in donations to local charities that support the likes of LGBTQ causes, educational needs within our local school districts, efforts to organizations working to cure various cancers (especially childhood cancers which statistically receive far less funding than others) mental health, animal rescue and care, etc.
Donation Requests
The Facial Bar, being a small, local business itself, finds it very important to be part of lifting up the communities we serve. Through our intention to continually support and collaborate with other local, women-owned businesses, we make donations to causes that echo our values.
