NO SHOWS, CANCELLATIONS or RESCHEDULING less than 2 HOURS PRIOR to your appointment time will result in a 50% charge of the appointment amount booked to your credit card on file.​

LATE ARRIVIALS - We cannot see any clients who are late to their appointments as our schedule is booked for the time needed for giving a fantastic facial experience, check out, clean up, and set up for the next client. There's no wiggle room here. If you are late, you will be asked to reschedule your appointment.

FACIAL PARTIES - If you need to cancel, reschedule or reduce your party size, you must do so at least 72 HOURS PRIOR TO YOUR PARTY TIME. ANY NO SHOWS or CANCELLATIONS of individuals within that party will result in a $55 chair fee to the credit card on file for the party as discussed in your party contract.

Waxing will last around 4 weeks, depending on your regular hair cycle.

A little, but not as bad as most people think it will. We only wax the hair that sticks out or is visible so we don't wax deep into the nose or ears.

We do not wax beards. We can wax the stray hairs on the cheeks or the line of the beard but we do not remove a whole beard with wax.

Unfortunately, it's not a good idea to wax on any topicals or medication that can thin the skin which can make the skin prone to tears or lifting of the skin.

During the treatment, some of our acids can/will be pretty spicy on the skin. We have handheld fans you can use to keep comfortable if needed.

During the 7-10 days of the healing process, we will give you aftercare instructions and suggest healing support home-care to keep any sensitivity or irritation to a minimum.

We sometimes run into clients that have received "peels" from other estheticians or product lines who use the term peel on the bottom, but don't have the same results as the kind of peels we perform.

So, yes, it's likely you will have some sort of actually skin shedding for the week following your peel treatment with us. In our progressive peel setting, this typically shows with dry, flakey skin. Our Mid-Depth peels can typically create anything from aggressive dryness/flaking to snake or sunburn-like peeling.

This is our #1 question when we talk with clients about peels. So, let's kick this off by saying NO!

Most clients leave the day of their peel treatment with little to no redness.

While henna may not be the right brow enhancement for everyone, it is a better choice for anyone who struggle to design and fill in their brows but likes a more structured look.

Our brow henna in Kansas City coats the hair shaft instead of penetrating the cortex like standard brow tint. This gives henna brows a thicker, softer, and smoother hair appearance. Since the henna wraps around the hair shaft instead of penetrating it, it is considering healthier for the brows. 

The henna skin stain can last on the skin for up to 10 days. Oil production, aftercare, and exfoliation will affect the longevity of the skin stain. The henna will last on the brow hairs for 6 weeks.

Yes, as long as the brows are completely healed from the microblading and there are natural brow hairs over the microblading strokes. Brow lamination in Kansas City is perfect for lifting up the brow hairs to enhance the microblading into a fluffier look.

Yes! Brow lamination is the perfect treatment for men who have unruly or coarse brows and are looking for a fuller, more defined shape.

During the first 24 hours, your brows will look sleek and flat due to the moisturizing serum we apply at the end of your service. After that serum is washed off, your brows are free to be brushed up fluffy.

Yep! Even those with naturally dark hair have vellus hair in and around the brows, as well as light tail ends of each individual hair that the tint will grab onto. Brow tinting will create a fuller looking brow.

Yes! The results are subtle and natural looking, but transform the overall look of your face.

Brow tinting in Kansas City, as well as the henna, will both work. However, henna will do a better and more thorough job of covering up grays. Henna wraps around the hair instead of penetrating the cortex, like our standard tinting does, so course and/or gray hairs have better color longevity with the henna.

Of course! We tailor brows to suit the person not the gender! We can do as little as just the glabella (middle of the brows) and a trim.

Unfortunately, it's not a good idea to wax on any topicals or medication that can thin the skin.

Yes! We specialize in full brows! We can be the guide for grow out or map your brows to the perfect shape for you.

Of course, but ideally you won't have to since your lashes will be dark from the tint. If you don't have naturally curled lashes, we recommend using a lash curler at home or opting for the lash lift with the tint.

It's preferred that you come with clean lashes, but we will wash any makeup off if you are coming from work or forget.

Lash tinting is a great choice for anyone with light lashes.

If you have dark lashes, but want them to be more noticeable, the better option to go for is a lash lift. Lash lifts give more volume and make the lashes appear longer... but why choose just one?! We recommend the lash lift with the lash tint!

Yes! Lash tints are a subtle way to accentuate your eyes, without being too obvious that you got something done.

Yes, you can still wear non-waterproof mascara 48 hours after the lift.

Pro-tip: Opt for adding the tint and throw out that mascara for low maintenance lashes!

We use gentle solutions for our lash lifts, so over-processing is unlikely. However, it is a perming solution and can cause some dryness so we recommend continuing with an aftercare serum to keep the lashes healthy and hydrated.

Your eyes will be closed for a full 30-45 minutes. Many clients bring headphones for a podcast/music or sleep, while some clients like to chat with their esthetician, we will follow your lead! :)

Yes! We have male clients that get lash lifts. Let's normalize male grooming. If your lashes are naturally straight or point down, why not get a treatment to brighten your eyes? We can adjust the curl size based on your preference.

Yes, it's preferable for you to come in with clean lashes.

Contraindications include the following:

• Watery eyes
• Hypersensitive skin/eyes
• Undergoing Chemotherapy
• Alopecia
• Skin disorders in the general eye area (including but not limited to dermatitis)
• Skin diseases, skin trauma, cuts, abrasions, burns or swelling in the immediate area
• Eye infections
• Recent surgeries on eyes or face (including lasik)

Special Care should be considered for pregnant/breast feeding and/or hormone therapy which may effect the lift.

The 'Bar Boosters are a powder that we mix in throughout the facial. Boosters can be incorporated into cleansers, enzymes, treatment serums, and masks depending on the treatment protocol. We are happy to give you a play-by-play of our treatments if you are curious!

Absolutely, especially if you experience redness in your skin easily, are working on pigmentation, or are serious about anti-aging!

Our 'Bar Boosters are already scientifically curated into each of our treatment protocols. Depending on your skin goals, we will pick the treatment protocol that best fits your needs, and will have 1 or more of the boosters already incorporated. If there is a certain booster you are intrigued by, let's chat about it!

The Enhanced LED Therapy is very safe, but offers a low level electrical current that should be avoided for the following reasons:

• Pregnancy
• Medications that make the skin photosensitive, including Acutane and other forms of strong Vitamin A's.
• immune disorders
• epilepsy.

If you have any concerns, consult with your doctor before receiving the Enhanced LED Therapy.

1. Light Emitting Diode (LED) Therapy has been proven to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. At the same time, it helps to fight bacteria that leads to acne, reduce redness and promote brightening.
2. IONs gently, yet effectively, work to attract and pull impurities from the skin while enhancing product penetration.
3. ULTRASONIC VIBRATION breaks up dead skin cells to lift, firm, and tighten the skin.
4. HEAT THERAPY aids IONs in emulsifying dirt and oil, so that it can easily be swept away. Thermal heat therapy has also been shown to improve with skin tightening, while also promoting more oxygen to the cells by improving blood circulation.

We use a very gentle touch around the eyes and are careful not to pull on that tissue. The products used in our eye treatments are specifically designed for the eyes and won't be too stimulating.

Don't rely on a regular face moisturizer to treat the under eyes. Instead, opt for an eye cream with retinol that's designed for the delicate, thin skin around the eyes.

It's totally up to you! If you have sensitive or easily irritated eyes, we would suggest removing your contacts just to be safe. That said, it's safe to leave them in as we don't rub directly over the eye while performing the eye treatment.

Nope! Facial Gua Sha is significantly more gentle than when Gua Sha is used on the body. We use light to moderate pressure with a smooth jade stone for the massage, which makes for a really comfortable and relaxing experience.

Yes, but we typically recommend waiting a week after botox and two weeks after fillers. Always consult with your injector for their recommendations.

With any level of facial, we recommend getting on a 'right for you' home care regimen. This will help your skin function properly, keep up the progress we make between facials, and ultimately help your skin look its best.

Yes, but it depends on a couple of factors. We typically recommend that new clients start with our 'Bar Method Facials. Our product line is medical grade and can be more stimulating than facials you've had in the past. If you book a 'Bar Power Facial for your first visit with us, we will look at the integrity of your skin before we move forward with this level of treatment. If it is your first ever facial, we will always perform a 'Bar Method Facial first.

This treatment would not be the best choice for acne skin types. Dermaplaning in Kansas City can spread bacteria and isn't a good option for raised texture on the skin. We also do not perform extractions/clean out the pores during this treatment as the skin is not properly prepped for safe extractions with derma-planing.

Technically, yes—but you would be better suited for our Method or Power facial instead. Our surgical blades are not designed for the course hair in the beard area, so we would only be able to dermaplane the upper parts of your face.

We do not perform extractions during your Dermaplaning treatment. This type of exfoliation does not properly prepare the pores for extraction and can be traumatizing to the skin. If you need extractions but also like Dermaplaning, we suggest alternating treatments with a 'Bar Method or 'Bar Power facial.

The Dermaplaning treatment is a facial on its own and does not need to be scheduled with a separate facial.

No! This is a myth. Shaving the hair does not cause cause it to grow back thicker or darker. Initially, the regrowth will feel different because of the blunt end from shaving. However, after the hair's typical growth cycle, the hair will look and feel the same as before the treatment.

You can start getting facials as early as your teens to help with acne and hormonal imbalances on the skin. If you have non-problematic skin, starting facials in your mid-20's is a great time to begin pro-youth, preventative facials. However, it's never too late to start! Let us help you reach your skin goals.

We recommend getting facials every 4 weeks as part of maintaining the skin. The skin is at its optimal health when it turns over (sloughs off dead skin cells and emerges new healthy cells) every 28 days. As we age, our skin's natural turnover rate can slow to as long as every 50 days. Monthly facials will keep the skin healthy as you age.

We have treatment plans for every skin type that we discuss at the end of our facial treatments. Depending on how quickly you want the results you're looking for, some treatments might be spaced as close as every 2-3 weeks.

Although breakouts can occur after a facial, a more typical reaction is a reduction of inflammation, redness, and healing of acne. If a breakout does occur, it's normally a result of the skin 'purging' anything that was under the surface of the skin during the facial.
